“Conclusions: Between 1999 and 2000 and 2017 and 2018, U.S. cardiometabolic health has been poor and worsening, with only 6.8% of adults having optimal cardiometabolic health, and disparities by age, sex, education, and race/ethnicity. ® Do you know that metabolic health is way more than how much you weigh?
Metabolic health controls not only weight, but how well you sleep, your energy level and cognitive performance, heart health, and more! Metabolic health is also about…AGING. Yikes! That nasty five-letter word!
While your chronological age is merely the number of years you’ve lived on this planet, your biological age is much different. Your biological age is the age of your body, not counted in days, weeks, or months, but an age based on the collective experiences of your cells. It’s like asking, how old does your body FEEL? This is one way to make sure the body’s biological age is LESS than its chronological age!
