Are you aware of the power and endless possibilities of essential oils?
There are many uses…providing safe, effective, therapeutic, and non-toxic benefits, which are available from the essential oils you already have in your home!
We love using essential oils and have found many creative ways to use them every day. What have we found? Daily use has created a foundation for our physical vitality, but more importantly, they have enhanced our lives in so many other ways!
One way is to reduce exposure to toxins delivered in the familiar products that we bring right into our homes and embrace Simply Natural Cleaning!
Why is it important to reduce our exposure to harmful chemicals?
The majority of commercial cleaning supplies contain synthetic fragrances and harsh chemicals…in other words, THEY’RE TOXIC! Harmful chemicals can get into your body if you breathe them, ingest them, or if they are absorbed through your skin. In fact, indoor air is higher in air pollution than outdoor air. The American College of Allergists state that 50% of all illnesses are caused by polluted indoor air.
“Environmental toxins are on the increase and pose a problem in the form of very serious health risks, as thousands of toxic substances find their way into our air, water and the soil in which we grow our food. We spend our days inhaling pollutants such as car fumes and cigarette smoke. We drink water that has been thoroughly treated with chemicals, and eat food that is grown in toxic soil, pumped with hormones and packaged with preservatives. While our livers, kidneys, skin and lymphatic systems work round the clock to eliminate these dangerous toxins from our body, they very often just cannot keep up, and the result is a buildup of poisons in the system which destroy body tissue, damage organs, depress the immune system and leave the door open to a number of serious illnesses.” (www.nativeremedies.com)
“Environmental Working Group (EWG) tested the umbilical cord blood of 10 newborn babies and found nearly 300 chemicals, including BPA, fire retardants, lead, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and pesticides that were banned more than 30 years ago.” (Scientific American, December 2009)
Importance of Increased Awareness
As the person who oversees all science, research, medical, and safety departments at dōTERRA® International, Dr. David Hill, reminds us: “Our health is dynamic. We move towards it…or away from it…every day…one cell at a time.” This every day exposure to any hazardous products can have escalating and debilitating long term effects.
It is important that we all become more aware of what chemicals and toxins are in the products we bring into our home; products like cleaners, hand sanitizers, air fresheners, candles, room deodorizers, and other household cleaning products. Recall opening the cabinet under your sink and inhaling the scent of ammonia or bleach…even when these products are in the cabinet and the caps are closed, the fumes from these products can be brought into your body with harmful consequences to you, your children and even your pets. This list expands to include our health and beauty products, our cosmetics, and even the synthetic and processed foods we ingest.
Read labels, make healthier choices, and choose to bring safer products into your home.
